Yes, this is me procrastinating. I have so much work to do and yet, although I'm doing some, some isn't enough. Yes it will be completed on time - it always is. But regardless of all my prep and planning it'll still be done at the very last minute. "If it weren't for the last minute, I wouldn't get anything done"; quite simply one of the best quotes i've ever read. I really need to sort out my time management, I can do it for other things. Tomorrow for instance I've organised time to go out & watch the rugby & then a trip to the cinema [I have a date with Jacob Black :P]. I am of course planning to fit some work into my busy social schedule....
.....Signing off now, will post tomorrow about my fun [& hopefully productive] day.

My lecturer said that she's the same, and that what she does, is she tells herself that the deadlines are earlier than they really are, so that she gets the stuff done by the early, fake deadline, to give herself breathing space.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a plan to me :D
That's clever but I know that I'll be like 'that's just my fake deadline, I can do it tomorrow'. But they will be done, they must!
ReplyDeleteFunnily enough, that's exactly what I thought. The same thing happens with my watch -I've set it about 5 minutes fast, so I'll never be late, but I know it's about 5 minutes fast, so I allow myself an extra 5 minutes all the time.
